Assuming spark is good and she runs once you get her started, do a dry/wet comp check, you may find she has low comp from setting, but on a wet check comes up. If so, soak the cyls a few days with some slightly thinned ATF fluid.(diesel, kero, mineral spirits), after that, empty cyls and get her started, and go run her a couple hours mowing ir similar hard work.

During this time id be running some clean oil in her, 10-30 or 15-40 s/c . 15/40 is my fav. Add a little ATF to the fuel as well. Not enough to kill skeeters or blacken plugs, just a bit, say a couple ounces per Gallo fresh fuel, see what you get.

Ok fuel and sticky rings and float valves can make for a hard starter.

Not bad idea to clean grounds up.

thanks soundguy put trans oil in it one and started rite up runs except at the last bit of throttle it hesitates like it spits and spudders other then that runs good thanks

Glad you got her going. For future referance,I reccomend doing as Soundguy suggests "BEFORE TURNING ENGINE OVER". I have a reently aquired 640 that sat for years outdoors sans carburator that I havn't even tried turning engine over. I will go a step farthur pulling the head to be certain there's no mud-dauber nests inside. While head is off I will soak and turn it over.
