Are all tubes created equal

Simple answer is no not all tubes are the same. If you buy ones made in China you get ones that may not even hold air for 10 minutes. If you buy from the U.S.A. you stand a better chance you have some good one but even then you never know. Buy from a tractor dealer or tire dealer that has been around for a while if you get one that is bad you stand a better chance of being able to take it back.

From my experience... they are ALL crap today. Much to the point that I run anything tubeless today that I possibly can.

Wow, now I'm wondering if I should use a tube. My tires are fairly new and I was running them tubeless. They did not leak before despite rust pits etc. I just restored my rims, completely bodyworking them and so the mating surfaces are now completely smooth and should seal well. I thought tubes would give me an extra measure of sealing protection. Now I'm questioning what to do??Tube or no tube?

My understanding, which may be wrong, is that:

1. Tire tube manufacturing left the US in 2004.
2. The Chinese tubes on the market are junk
3. There are tubes available from South Korea that are "OK".

Mine has the Korean stuff in it. Only been 6 months, so it's too early to tell if #3 above will be validated for me.

Hi Nope Here in Manitoba my local tire shop only sells klieber tubes now ( Spelling ?) and where my
buddy is he only gets Firestone's, I've never had trouble with mine, if the tire and rim was right,
I had a Michelin agribib go south and destroy a tube. thats not the tube fault though. He said the
same with Firestone.
