FEl Pump revisited

I purchased a 0-3000 psi gauge and tee'd it off the pressure line as per Old. I raised the bucket to the top and the pressure got to 1000 -1200
psi. And that was at 1500 rpm. I really have to race this thing to get lift. All new fluid and filter. Does this indicate that the pump is worn or is
there something else I should check? The pump was a used one I got years ago, but it did work better at one time. Where do you get one of
these pumps, anyway? Thanks for any input. Steve

To get a true reading you have to raise and hold the control. Once the relief valve opens you will see the true pump pressure which is also controlled by your relief valve. 1500 can be just fine if that is what the relief is set at. You also may have cylinders getting bad. On my 841 the relief valve is set at 2500psi so you may have a relief valve problem or a cylinder problem or a pump problem but at least your getting closer to finding it

I did hold the control. At best it got to 1200 psi. Is there an adjustment in the valve? None of the cylinders are leaking but I guess they could be leaking internally. Just trying to diagnose it to get it back to useable. Thanks for your help. Steve

Most valve bodies have an adjustable relief valve on them but with out seeing what you have would be hard to explain how to adjust it. But yes 1200 PSI seems a bit low
