rear studs on a 800 RR

Is there an EZ way to replace the rear axle studs on a 850 ford? I have not found the right spot to get them out after driving them out of the axle, if there is a right spot

Aside from R & Ring the axle, the only way to install a new wheel lug bolt is to drill a hole in the backing plate in order to get the new bold in.

The Ford service manual includes directions and photo(s).

No there is no right spot.
On some of the newer models (801) the backing plate comes with a hole in it plugged with a rubber stopper.
On the older models (800) you have to drill the hole yourself.
