Bad temperature gauge Ford 4000

I've got a bad temperature gauge (mechanical damage) on my 1972 Ford 4000. I'm pretty sure the sender is good, and would like to just replace the gauge itself. I've looked on ebay and tractor parts websites and have only found gauges listed for pre-1964 4000s. It seems like the only gauge I find for post-1964 4000 is to buy the whole instrument cluster, which I really don't need. How do I figure out a gauge that matches up with the sender? Does it just need to be calibrated to a specific temperature? I haven't found what the original sender is calibrated around. The sender is C4AH10884A, mounted on the front of the engine above the water pump.

The parts site shows a separate part number for the temperature gauge. The original part number was 86548586, but that has been superseded by part number 87362180, which shows to be still available on partspring.com for $114.00, which is kind of pricey since you can get aftermarket replacements for the entire instrument cluster for not much more than that, although a genuine CNH instrument cluster was around $160.00 the last time I checked.

Somewhere...
I have an NOS temp gauge for that cluster.
Haven't seen it for a couple of years but got a hunch I could find it if I looked.
It's still in the original Ford box.
You want me to look for it?
My email is open.

I don't really have any preference as to an original or not, just a decently priced temp gauge that works. I'm curious to know whether any particular temp gauge would read accurately with the original sender.
