I am having trouble starting my 4000 Diesel I can get it to start and I have bled all the injectors. It sounds like it is running on one cylinder. I just did an overhaul and I am not sure I have the injectors plumbed right. Can someone explain. There are three lines. Bottom, Middle, Top coming off the pump. Please explain where each should go. 1,2,3, starting from the front.. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Bern My son in law installed the lines and he was unsure. I pulled the intake off without disconnecting from the pump. He disconnected them. They do look bent wrong. Just wanted to make sure so I can move on.

The piping is right. I have some fuel spitting from each injector, The tractor will start and run at real low RPMs will not speed up when I increase the accelerator. There is a diesel knock to the engine. I did buy the tractor cheap with a knock. I did start it before I tore it down. It would run with a knock. I did not try to increase the fuel so I don't know if it is the same knock. I found number 3 piston with a hole on the back side and the rings were ate up. No damage to the cylinder walls. I bought a tisco kit from here and rebuilt the bottom end. I sent the head to a machine shop and had everything checked out. They had to shave it to clean it up. There was one valve weeping and they fixed it. The blled valve located between the filters is stripped but I seem to have plenty of fuel to the pump. I will fix the bolt. Any suggestions. Thanks Wyman
