Fuel Line Routing

I have a question pertaining to the fuel line on a Ford 641 tractor. First, how was the fuel line originally routed from the fuel cut off valve to the carb? Does it run down "behind" the intake/exhaust pipes? That's the way mine is routed with a combination steel and rubber gas line. I'm wanting to replace the fuel line completely because I'm afraid the line may be too close to the exhaust pipe. Are the lines all steel lines, or is there some rubber hose connected as well? I wouldn't think a rubber hose would be safe at all running that close to the exhaust pipe. Fire waiting to happen. Thanks

Yes, that does help. For $51.00 however, I think I can make my own now that you've given me a picture. Is that the tractor place in Alma, GA?

es, it did run between the manifolds and the engine block/head up to the valve/tank.

lots of us bend our own from brake line.

on a few of mine i run it straight toward the front, wrap around the head near the genny, and over to the carb /bowl.

No, that happens to be Alma, AR. Any New Holland Parts counter will order it if it still available, looks like the gas one is available. Swain Equipment here in Albany Ga. has Ford New Holland Parts in stock or can order,if you are convenient to this area.

Here's an example of that I did for mine, and added a fuel shut-off valve as well. Leave the tank-mounted valve open all the time.

Thanks for the picture. I'm close to running my fuel line for my 841 and this answers a question I would have had. That rigid line fuel shut off system sure makes sense.

Thanks all for your help and the pictures. You've given me some ideas to work on.
One more question if I may; do any of you use a thread sealer of some sort on the connectors? If so, what kind should I use that is compatible with gasoline? I sure don't want anything clogging the carb again. Thanks
