Ford 3000 - electrical questions

I recenty got a flashing light to replace my broken one and wanted to ask where did this light get its power from? I am currently spliced into 12v hot but wasn't sure if it should be 12v key hot.

My other question is on headlights. What is the size of the headlights because in this catalog I got the other day they list a sealed beam bulb for a Ford 3000 tractor that is 5 1/2" diameter but they also listed a LED flood light for this same 3000 tractor to replace the sealed beam bulb but it said it is 4 1/2" in diameter. I asked them and they said the LED will not work on the Ford 3000 but the fitment says it does in the catalog. So I am curious what is the diameter of the bulb for these tractors.

you need a bulb to fit your cans plain and simple.. or change your cans.

as for the lamp? I like 2 stage headlamp switches. I wire first stage to flasher, and 2nd stage to headlamps. when headlamps on, flasher is on too.
