6700 Whining Noise

6700 with dual power. While using a 10 foot bush hog the tractor stop moving and pto stop turning. Making a whining noise is the rear end now. Tractor starts but will not move. The whining noise increases with increased engine rpm. Any ideas what's wrong?

Several yrs back my high houred 6700 stopped moving while I was transporting my hay rake from one hay baling customers field to another customers field. It turned out the input shaft was worn out and required replacement which meant tractor had to be split twice.

Help me understand: This is keeping the PTO pump from turning which means no pressure to the dual power which then causes the tractor to not move....if the tractor did not have dual power, then would the tractor move, but still no pto, no three point lift and no hydraulic remotes?

That would be correct...

I agree it's most likely the PTO drive hub and splines on the input shaft are stripped...

Where are the splines/hub stripped? At the front of the shaft (at Clutch) or at the rear of the shaft (at PTO clutch)?

They are stripped at the front. The reason the tractor needs a double split is because the hub in the flywheel needs to be replaced, and because the shaft comes out the back of the transmission.
