Patched the fuel tank, straightened up the wiring. Only the seat swivel needs fixing before being ready to go to work.

I hope so. Everything is tight and it only has 1642 hours showing on it which may or may not be true but I think it is. How is your new tractor doing?

More than likely I'll bet its low hour, pins good, no heavy leaks, they're out there. I don't know what the production numbers were, they sure built quite a few of these and the rest of their lines.

Hope to see this one when you first test it out. Will it be more like an estate tractor for some of your own work at leisure or will it see use on a job site if needed?

This new to me tractor, I've had it in the garage since delivery, just made a parts run actually. It needs brake rod seals, valve lash adjust, engine oil change, fully lube, fluid check, it'll be good to go next week sometime. I'll then put a few hours on it. I will have to deal with its rear tire rims though. I've seen some really decent salvage just looking on the web, be nice to get 13x28 salvage oem rims for it. Seems a lot of these have 16.9-30's, mine (a 4630 w/fwd) has 14.9-28's, with the more narrow fronts to match. Should be great in the snow too. Likely the rims on it now will be repairable, CACL leak at the valves, but if a nice set turns up reasonable... be hard to turn down. I've replaced some missing hardware on the back with available CNH parts, 3pt, drawbar pins, lift arms etc. Overall, I'm pleased with what I have here, its only got 1200+ hours, but like you said, you never know. It sure looks the part top to bottom so far, mechanically sound for as much as I've just tested it out. I've been needing something like this one for quite awhile, and so far it seems to be a good fit for a very reasonable cost. I'm thankful I could make a deal on it, now if it holds up like it should, it'll get most of my work done here and its new enough for me to make things a lot easier and a bit enjoyable.... finally LOL !

I'm not sure where it's going to find it's place we already have a 710B JD that has ended up on the farm so I'm not sure if it will take it's place or we'll use it on the job.
