I need your experience, when i tool over the engine by hand and put it on the the high cam lobe a little bit further it snaps (loud) and jumps to to the low spot on the cam.? remindes me of a mag set up ..this is a front dist. and when it runs can hear the jump over from the dist. area? missing tooth? but it does it with every lobe?
2nd question is on the dist.cap has 1-4 on it so i put no 1 cyl wire in the cap no. 1 is this correct? or should put the on cap in the firing order? it idles ok but there is something going on on full throdel and seems like power is low?

i just need some help that i know someone knows lots more than me thanks mike

what do you think about the wires on the cap? i put no1 on the cap hole and so on but as the rotor spins C W it would not be in time? or is that done inside the cap its self?

what do youthink about the cap. i put the no.1 wire on the cap that says 1 and so on, but when the rotor turns C W it would not be in time as i would see it on like a v8 ford pattern. or is the cap on the inside makes the correct firing order???? or is my firing order off? the holes on cap are on the side because of the clearance of belt?

thanks, sounds like something is wrong inside but i have not been down that road. i guess that i need to pull the ft cover off and take a look inside at the gears. so what happens is it a bolt or something loose or worn out or ? sounds like you have been there before. please give me your experience.
thank you for your help……..
