ford 860 dead clutch

A bit back, got an 860 with a 'bad clutch.' It runs good, I've started fixing the previous owner's repairs, and have come to the clutch, which he adjusted, and 'it drove 10 feet and quit). If you push it, there's a grinding and vibration coming through the clutch rod. When engine is off, I can feel the pressure plate engage. And that's for either the first stage or pushing through to the second stage. The input shaft is definitely spinning (the spray out the fill hole was impressive). Cannot put in gear nor engage/disengage pro. If I start it with pro on, that's fine.
So, I guess my question is-stuck clutch, or broken clutch plate? Just looking for opinions, I know how to split it, etc, but looking back at other posts, I see people saying how to unstuck, but not a description of the feel of the pedal.
Thanks for your ideas

Throw-out bearing is gone! Split to replace. May be time for a clutch overhaul as well.

I'm assuming your "pro" is your PTO????? If you indeed have a pro that does not function correctly . . . I'd fire that turkey!

Lol, yes pro is PTO, and I was figuring it wasn't a stuck clutch, but of course hoping it was. Guess it doesn't matter, I'm tearing into all the systems, anyway, I can check the transmission while it's apart.....

I agree.. could be a broken pressure plate with some fingers grinding when compressed, but probably a bad throwout bearing. And maybe stuck pressure plate to boot.
