I have a 74 3000 3 cyl ford it runs good except I think that its running a little lean. I took the plugs out and looked at them no 1 looked good no 2 & 3 looked a little whitish brown. It starts and runs great when baling hay or pulling a conditioner up hill the governor doesn't seem to rev the motor up , like it used to and it runs a little towards the edge of the red on the heat gauge. And when you first start up you have to let it warm up or it stumbles and cuts out if you give it very much throttle. If you choke it does better. I can still bale with it but I think that it still has a fuel problem. I have a couple of manuals a fo-31 &ford operators manual and it doesn't show a fuel mixture adjustment ,just a idle fuel needle & a idle speed screw. Any thoughts and advice ?
