1841 steering ram

So if i convert to hydraulic steering from cable, am i able to still use the factory hydraulic ram? Is the actuator on the end of the ram that the cable hooks to used in the new set up?

Thanks, jeff

The hydraulic cylinder is different from your original cable steer cylinder. The actuator on the end of the ram (cable steer) will no longer be used. You need to replace the steering box as well. Tony Jacobs is the man when getting rid of the cable steer. My tractor would only make right turns until I converted it to full hydraulic (so sad for the donor tractor) but now have a tractor that goes both left and right.
