9600 brakes

I have a 9600 with no brakes. I replaced the master cylinder with a new one and bled the brakes. Still no brakes. I used the ford brake fluid (expensive!). What am I missing? What next? Thanks

Been a while since I've had a 9600 and I'm not sure but it it seemed like there was something you had to do behind the brake pedals and I don't remember what or why or even if it was the 9700 for sure but might be worth taking a look

I remember when I worked for a Ford dealer farmers would put regular brake fluid in there 8000 and 9000 and they would not work. Then we would have get the fluid out and replace it with regular Ford brake oil. On these early tractors the bleaders were at not at the top and didn't work well. You had to work the air out through the master cylinder that meant pumping the brake pedal for 30 min to an hour to get brakes.

I WORKED FOR FORD BACK IN THE EARLY 70'S WE MADE A BLEEDER OUT OF A HEATER HOSE, CLAMPED IT ON THE TOP OF THE MASTER CYL WITH A HOSE CLAMP PUT FITTING ON OTHER END
TO HOOK TO AIR HOSE ONLY USE ABOUT 5 lbS OF AIR OR IT WILL BLOW THE TOP OFF, IT TAKES A WHILE BUT IT WORKS

Buy cheap pump oil can, fill oil can with brake oil open bleeder at axle loosen brake line at master cylinder, use a small hose to connect oil can to bleeder pump till air is gone. Takes about 5 min wish I had thought in '75 during the brake upgrade and hyd' filter update.
