Ford Brake Oil

I see a lot of griping about the price of brake oil here last day or two. I sell OEM CNH brake oil for about $10 a quart. Is that really an outrageous amount to pay for something that you might use a quart of every 5 years or so? Or do you guys just not like to fix leaks? Personally I can't remember the last time anybody barked at me about the price of it at my counter.

Its a tad more than that at most dealers?

There are also 2 types, maybe you are quoting the cheaper one, while we might need the more spendy one?

Then, my deal guessed on which I needed of the two; that doesn't instill confidence as to if I'm getting a good service for the product for the value or not.....

Fixing leaks, some of that takes a heap of labor, guess it depends on which side of the repair counter you are standing how $125 an hour looks to you or not?

Then it probably looked better with $7 corn, looks kinda tough with $3 corn, but depends which side of the counter you are standing on maybe to understand that reality changes some.

The part number I stock is recommended for all New Holland and Ford applications.
I've been on both sides of the counter.
Maybe you should consider the value of having working brakes, rather than ones that might or might not be there depending on how much oil has leaked out.

If you think brake oil is expensive because you have to keep buying it, I can't help.
