I have a Ford NAA tractor. I am unable to change gears because the clutch is not engaging. My wife's brother came over last week to look at the problem. He informed me
that the throwout bearing is not depressing the forks on the clutch. He says there's about a 3/4" to 1" gap between the bearing and the forks. I have purchased a new 9"
clutch assembly. The gentleman at the tractor store says the old one looked okay to him. He said the only difference in the old assembly and the new one is that the
clutch pad on the new one is a little thicker than the old one. I would like to know how to proceed from here. I am supposed to see that gentleman again on Monday to
discuss with him this problem, but if I can get tips and help here, I'd greatly appreciate it and it would save me a trip. Thank you in advance.
