cant figure out what this tractor istractor #c 19867 missing number or letter after the c
unit #4020b
rear axle#4b29b
hyd.lift n4a11b
numbers stamped on left front of trans GA70Y03 and 4A09b
any help would be appreciated

Cx19867 could be a serial number from any year if the first digit after the C is unknown.

unit #4020b is most likely actually 4C20B, which would be March 20 of some year that ends with a 4 during the day shift.

rear axle#4b29b Means rear axle was assembled on February 29 of some year that ended in a 4 (must have been a leap year unless the person stamping wasn't paying attention, which has happened, but if it wasn't mis-stamped then it would be 1984, as that was the only year that they used a "C" serial number that was a leap year and ended in a 4).

hyd.lift n4a11b Most likely 4a11b, which would mean that the top cover was assembled on January 11 of some year that ended in a 4.

Since all of the numbers that you have agree that the tractor was made in a year that ended in a 4, the choices are 1974 and 1984, as by the time 1994 came around they were only doing the final assembly in the Basildon plant and all serial numbers for 1994 started with a BD double letter combination.

You haven't provided a model number so we don't know whether it should be 1974, which would be a thousand series, or 1984, which would be a x610 or x910 series.

If it has a two piece grill that looks like this, then it is a 1974 thousand series and the missing digit in the serial number would be a 4:

If it is a single piece grill that wraps around like this then it is a x610 or x910 series from 1984 and the missing digit would be a 7:

Thanks for the reply, second number would have to be a seven then tried rubbing with pencil and paper looks like a one or y but I agree now that it is a 7, that would make it a 1984 ford 5610,does that sound correct

A 5610 would have a 4 cylinder engine and the model number stamped into the flat spot on the right side of the transmission, and on the sticker under the hood would start with LA3 or LA4.

also found a number on engine it is 1759996 I am still confused because a 5610 and 6610 serial number give same year I don"t know what size tractor I have, will try to find more numbers this evening,by the way it has the second grille you posted, thanks again

All tractors made on the same assembly line were given unique sequential serial numbers no matter what model they were, so a 5610 might have come off the line just before a 6610 and the 6610 would have gotten the next serial number after the one that the 5610 go, and there are no surviving records of which models got which specific serial numbers so the serial number will not tell you what model it is.

From the numbers that you initially posted you must have the original foil sticker under the hood but it must be damaged so that only some of he numbers are still legible. On the right side of the transmission bell housing there is a flat spot that faces upwards just above and toward the rear of the tractor from the starter. The model number, unit number and serial number should also be stamped into that flat spot. See if you can find them there.

There should also be an engine serial number that is fairly small sized characters and is stamped (not raised up) into the flat rail on the lower right side of the engine block, just above the oil pan near the front of the engine. Post that and that might help as well.
