Hello all. Just picked up this sweeeeet 4000 yesterday. The thing runs really well, starting very easily without the use of the manifold heaters. The only imediate issue I see, is a visible leak where the injection pump mounts to the block. Does anyone have any info on an illustrated parts list and/or seal kit for a Dbgvcc429-4c pump?
I've skimmed various forums and came across some people having issues with the umbrella seals that are located on the pump drive shaft. Given the area of the leak, I'm betting that's my problem. I have been monitoring the oil level in the oil pan, and it is slightly over filled (possibly diesel fuel due to leak). I figure someone here has been down this road before, I appreciate any help/info you can provide.

If you are gaining oil, another place I've had that problem is the return lines since they run underneath the valve cover.

If you're confident in your ability to service the injection pump, go to a pump shop and buy a seal kit for it. Any reputable pump shop should have this for your Roosa Master (now called Stanadyne) pump. Or go to eBay. They're on there as well. You should be able to purchase this for less than $50.00.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I have found
a seal kit on ebay advertised to be used
with DBG pumps. I still would like to
have a parts listing (#'s) for the
individual components within the pump.
I've read were fellas have ordered
replacement hard parts due to wear while
they had the pump disassembled. Is there
not a pdf available for a DBG series
pump? I can try and ask a local pump
builder, but I have a feeling I won't
get to far. I'm still in the process of
reading past threads pertaining to these
pumps and have yet to come across
anything to reference a parts breakdown
or part numbers.
