Complaint, then a question...

Does anyone else dislike the "Modern View," or am I just getting old and grouchy? In particular, the search feature. I just used it trying to find returns for "Ford 8000 with front-end loader" and got stuff like, "1710 Tie Rod," "Ford 2000 brakes," posts about an 8970 and "Should I buy this 871?" I narrowed the search to the Ford forum and got over 7000 returns! The classic search never gave me stuff so far off base! Maybe I'm just too stupid to use the new one...

Anyway, on to the question. Does anyone have pictures of the brackets/how the loader mounts on an 8000, or any advice on mounting a loader on an 8000? Just bought a Schwartz QT loader w/brackets for a 3088 International. Hoping it won't be too hard to modify. Mainly just curious how to put the brackets on the tractor.

t is like 'brands' of beer or anything else.........just what you get used to.........I use Modern 99.44% of the time & like it.

I use modern, it's fine
I do switch to classic when there is a squabble, so I can
see who is yelling at who.

tip on search.....
use google, then from the results page, find a YT one,
and click on 'more results from yesterdaystractors'
seems to work better at finding what you need on YT.

I hate modern view...
Can't really help you mounting a loader to an 8000 tho. Assume you'd just have to measure it up and see what mods have to be made and do the cutting and rewelding.

I agree with JMOR and no new parts, but you have to remember that most members here are on the older side and we have a sworn duty to resist change to new things, so that is exactly what most do. My 9000 has few holes to help mount a loader so you will probably have to extend to the rear axle and bolt up to the front of the bolster.

Thought about that. I could probably get the thicker side rails from a junkyard. Wish I could see a pic or 2. That'd really help. Thanks for the suggestion.
