Is It too low havin a Ford 5000 diesel engine running at 20 psi when engine is hot at idle?

The original oil pressure indicator was just an idiot light, and I believe that the original oil pressure warning light switch would turn the light off at something less than 20 psi.

Consider yourself lucky it's that high - it's more than fine. I think the official Ford-allowed minimum is 10.

even lower i think! I think around 6-8 psi that light went off!
