NAA sheet metal reinstall

When I bought the NAA the sheetmetal hood door would bind at the drivers short end or the radiator short end, couldn't find good no bind center by adjusting just one hood hinge (only one hood hinge adjustment screws are freed up for me to adjust with). I'm currently working on the frozen hood hinge adjustment screw pair... heat and soak, heat and soak, hasn't gotten 'em loose yet.
So I removed all of the sheet metal to get at an exhaust elbow gasket leak and remove the gas tank to clean it up and finally stop that sediment bowl leak.

Got both leaks taken care of... now I'm having trouble reinstalling the sheetmetal... looks as if I get the drivers end bolts tight, then I'm well forward of the sheet metal legs big bolt slotted holes and vice versa.

Any suggestions?

Try not tightening any thing down until all the bolts are installed, then start with hood door and align fit, tighten four corners and work to both ends of the hood assembly. this worked for my 850.

Sounds good guys... keep 'er loose, until the end.

Any idea what the original tin to tin screws were?
I'm missing most of them.
Assuming flat head slotted screw, but what size?

Check the captive nuts, as the tin had a bunch, maybee 5/16... Lotsa times die to rusty stuck fastners the spun or were drilled out.

The bolts for the nose cone and instrument panel were 5/16 X24X 5/8 and the hood corners were 10 -32 X .38. The instrument panel to lower shroud were the ones shown at Dennis Carpenter.
