I have a 1963 Ford 2000 with the 134" four cylinder gas engine. It has experienced a catastrophic failure. Was curious if I could swap in a 172 or even 192" four cylinder gas engine?

Either will bolt in.

Be advised that the rear axle in the 6**/2000 tractors is not designed for the output of the 172 CI engine.

agreed with dean.

as said, any 134, 144, 172, or 192 4 cyl red tiger will bolt up.

watch the extra ponies.

could use the small carb to help limit the extra power, or use the correct carb and just be carefull.

depending exactly on what you have for a fuel tank and manifold you may be swapping some parts around to get it all hooked up anyway. ie different ear and fuel lines..e tc. nothing too hard to overcome.
