Bottom number Hardened cylinders hence the star, B made in England? Not sure figured the experts on here could line me out .

Thanks

Yes, the B serial number means that it was made in Basildon, UK. The European plants didn't always stamp the Unit Number (also called the Production code or date code) in the same order that they did in the states. The G is definitely July, but all 3 numbers after the letter leaves it up in the air, it could be the 21st day of July in a year that ended in a 5 (1965 or 1975), or it could be the 15th day of July in a year that ended in a 2 (1972). Looking at your earlier post where you say it's a 1965, and the picture that shows the earlier style sheet metal and grill, my bet would be on July 21, 1965.

The serial number appears high, but I've got some reference documents that show that in Europe they had two different strings of serial numbers, ones to be sold in Europe started with B100001 and A100001, while the ones made over there but were made to be sold over here in the USA started with B810001 and A810001, so that serial number would probably be right for a 1965 Basildon tractor that was made to be sold in the US.
