Hi all new guy got lucky boss gave me a tractor for the property she is cool. 8)

Anyhow I have a 1965 2000 3 cyl diesel and it has seen better days but runs like a champ other than leaks everywhere LOL I will give her some TLC.

It has no gauges and was wondering what they looked like it is just a blank up there now no holes or nothing except a red light and maybe one hole about 1/2 an inch across.

Also the wiring harness is toast well there is some resemblance to a harness but it is disabled now.

I have a wire to the battery and to the switch and to the starter that's it for now not happy about the starter lock out switch being disabled so will fix that next.

Thanks

Do not see the pic so lets try this

Teaching the wife to drive it she is concentrating

A wiring harness is fairly inexpensive as is the instrument cluster
less than $200 for them both

Looks to me like it's had an engine fire. That would explain the wire harness there looking toasted & the missing cluster.

Just as a precaution I would be fixing all those "leaks", and give it a once over for degreasing first before I ran it too much. Old tractors can become very flammable with years of grease and hydraulic oil everywhere and a bit of fuel on top for easy ignition.

It will be a fun project for you.

No engine fire that I know of the harness is not that kind of toasted sorry for the misinformation I did degrease and pressure wash the whole tractor.

Thank you very much for the links and picture of the gauges awesome info.

I am mechanically inclined how hard is it to rebuild or regasket the injector pump as that's where the leak is I think.

Also and I have got a manual but kinda sketchy on the freeze plug which is threaded locales have a small water leak behind the injector pump. Is there a plug back there?

Thanks again.

I would get it rebuilt by a professional
If it is just the O Rings in the top of the pump it is not too bad, but I would hate to try it if I had never did one

Work in marine industry so finding a place to rebuild should be no problem. I had heard they can be fun to take apart and have to be put back exactly like the came apart.
