3 point lift capacity for Ford 861

I am trying to confirm something I have seen on the TractorData site. If the 63/64 Ford 4000 is continuation of the
800 series and I am told that the 861 is practically identical to the 63/64 Ford 4000. Tractordata shows the 3 point lift capacity
for the Ford 861 at 1250lbs.. while the 1963/1964 Ford 4000 3pt lift capacity is 3200lbs.
Is that right?? If the 8n lift capacity is only 800lbs the 861 is only 450lb more... is that correct ??

I can not say how much one can lift for sure but I have many many times taken my 841 and hooked the back blade under the front bumper of a 1/2 ton truck and lifted it up and drove off pulling it to where I needed to. But I do have a loader up front if not the front tires would have been 2 foot off the ground

There is no difference in lift capacity between the xx1 and 4 cylinder x000 tractors.

Tractor date is never to be trusted.

I do not believe my 4000 will lift 3200 lbs, even if it had sufficient weight up front (which it doesn't). The lower number seems much more reasonable. Maybe the 2000/4000 could lift that much if the hydraulics were in perfect condition, but these are, after all, fifty year old tractors.

As others have said, tractordata is not always accurate. They also claim that the 4 cylinder 4000 is a 55 hp tractor and that the 3 cylinder 4000 is only 50 hp. It lists 3200 lbs. lift capacity for both the 3 and 4 cylinder 4000. I just looked and they don't even have the 861 listed this morning. The are constantly changing things due to folks contacting them and telling them they are wrong on something and trying to get them to correct things, but those folks who send in the corrections don't always have the correct information either.

Easy there Dean, Yes, there are known to be errors, but there is plenty of good information there and remember the fellow is a member here.

This 1250 pounds, directly over drawbar, is from a Ford promotional video on the Hundred Series tractors.

I have a 960 ford and I was able to lift 900 to 1000lb round bales with little trouble but I think that 1250 would be about the max.

Just noticed in that pic JMOR posted that it shows clearly the difference between the gray center and the silver rim.

Is this video on YouTube? I've seen the promo video for the Jubilee, I'd love to see the one for the Hundred Series.
I do not know of utube version. However, the other tractor site n*tractor*club.com (delete *) offers 4 videos on a DVD, called Ford Tractor DVD, and the picture I captured is in the 3rd video, Power-the Red Tiger Engine. Others are Power to prosper, The Proofmeter, and Meet my new partner (a hundred series tricycle).
