Super nice day today so it was wire brush the weights day. They cleaned up really nice. These came off a 1965 2000 diesel without power steering. Armstrong steering.

Nice, small project Tom.
I always just brush paint stuff like that. Prime one day and paint the next.
I figure brush is good enough as they're going to be in the mud and dirt anyway.
Are you keeping the 3000 or just fixing it up to sell?

These weights came off a 2000 diesel that was a bear to steer with the weights on. The tractor runs like a top and is a keeper. I'll use it without the weights on it tho. These weights will go on a tractor with power steering.

Be sure to give them the acid treatment. I really like the SEM Rust Mort.
