could someone please give me a step by step proceedures on rebuild on a 82 72 hp power steering column I'm having heck

You'd better figure out what you're working on first. There's no such thing as an '82 Ford 5000.

the 5000 was built from 65 to 75... then came the 5600 and then the 5610...

And there were several changes along the way, making them considerably different.

A serial number and model number would tell us exactly which tractor you have and most likly the series of power steering you have. See number behind starter on flat spot facing up.... and on later tractors on the added tag under the hood.

Do you have power steering fluid lines going to the steering box from the pump and going no where else?
