1966 ford 3000 - fuel "leak"

The leak is coming from the Simms injector pump. There is a bolt with a collar and a stubbed (broke off?) outlet (overflow) tube coming out of that collar. That is according to my service manual. It says it might drip some fuel/oil mixture after the engine is stopped. I've owned and used the tractor for 15+ years and it hasn't dripped a drop of fuel (that I've noticed) from there before now. Now it squirts out under pressure when the tractor is running. It is on the left side (toward the rear of tractor) of the pump, behind the primer lever. The bolt has a 1/2 head and the line is 3/16 OD. This tractor was made in England if that makes a difference. Any ideas on what to do? I don't know why it just started to squirt, is it an indicator of a problem? Does it mean the injector pump breather needs to be cleaned?
Thanks!

I'm no injection pump expert, but I would guess the
oil sump is over filled. Have you been changing the
pump's oil when you change the engine oil?

The cam box in that pump should be sealed from the engine. You are supposed to replace the oil inside it with the same oil that you use in the crankcase every time you change the engine oil but it is isolated.

That tube is an overflow, and it is normal with age for fuel to leak into the cam box and raise the level. However, I have never heard of it coming out under pressure, so I expect that it is as Dieseltech said, that your charge pump diaphragm is leaking. That is very lucky or you because it is about a tenth the cost to repair as a pump overhaul and reseal. As others said change the oil regularly.

Fordfarmer has it right, leaky diaphragm on the lift pump will fill the cam box with diesel.

You should change the engine oil in the mechanical governor part of the pump every time you change the engine oil.

The pipe should have a "pigtail" in it to maintain a level of diesel in the cam box for lubrication of the pumping elements.

Spent many happy hours in my youth servicing those pumps at a Ford dealer.

Most likely the lift pump is bad. Open the level plug on the pump cam box and see how much fuel is in there... New lift pump should fix it.

Mine leaks because the lift pump gasket is shot, I intend to replace it shortly. But that's just a slow drip, not coming out under pressure.

Thank you for all the help!
Is there anything else that typically wears or goes wrong with the supply pump that makes it a good idea to replace it or is normal to just replace the diaphragm?

In my opinion the charge pump is one of the most reasonably priced parts at CNH, and you can also get them aftermarket, for even a little less. They have little check valves with seals that can wear. They can also catch very fine dust that gets into the fuel. I had one of mine open awhile back and it had about a half inch of mud in the bottom, so it can be worthwhile to get after it.
