nda7562b clutch bearing return spring

looking for a nda7562b clutch bearing return spring for a ford 172 engine with a sherman reverser and a 4 speed transmission .
I went to the dealer and he thinks that is the part # the spring looks like a 8 or 9n return spring but is shorter and thicker wire . it is 3 and 3/4 inches from hook to hook .

Since these appear to be NLA, go to a REAL hardware store that has a selection of springs and find one that fits your needs, even if you have to re-shape one of the hooks a bit.

If you have a brake shop in your area that's been around for a LOOONNNG time, you might check with them... some of the older truck brake return springs had the swivel ends,

thanks i will try that

Check a needle latch spring for a NH 575 square baler. Or a ratchet pawl spring for an old Gehl BU84 forage wagon. Both have swivel hooks and the length will be close.
