Pulled lift cylinder apart today and found several problems with unloader valve and bushings etc. I have a "BLUE" cylinder, control and unloader valves. Went on New Holland site to find some "BLUE" bushings are NLA.
Found replacement lift cylinders C5NN477B which come with unloader valves etc, on this site, but are labeled replacement for a hole bunch of tractors. After searching around I see these lift cylinders do not look like the one in the 861.
HAs anyone replaced the original lift cylinders in a 801 series tractors with one of these C5NN477B? If so how did it go ? I also see that the draft / position control adjustments are very different. Don't have a 2000/3000/4000 manual for reference but I found some reference in the archives and the numbers are like .2" where the 861 is .390 and .450 approx.
My thought is if I replace my original I should set it up according to the 2000/3000/4000 dimensions ?? and NOT the 861 dimensions.
As usual ANY opinions welcome...
Thanks..Alan
