Suggestions please!!! Have a 641 here that has sat for years??? The PO tried starting it with ether but it didn't go and has sat ever since. The head and pan were off. The sleeves show very little wear. He gave me a product called "Free" that should be the "ultimate in penetrating oils", his quote. . Nothing has happen even though I have hammered and banged around on them for two days. Going to try acetone and ATF this coming week. Have the feeling we will be looking for pistons before this is all said and done.

sometimes stuck...is stuck
Lots of helpful suggestions in the archives.
Just one of my experiences....badly stuck NAA.
solvent soak for days and days.
head and pan off, padded pipe and a floorjack
underneath on a rod cap going 'up' while pounding on
a piston going 'down'.
no luck
pushed it outside.
put some kerosene (just a little) in each cylinder.
tiniest bit of gas to get it lit and set all cylinder holes
on fire.
let it burn for quite a while.
put it out. quickly sopped up the remaining kero so I didn't get splash burned.
pounded and jacked and it came loose.
(the different metals expand in the heat at different rates and break the rust bond)

ps edit...ballhone cleanup on the sleeves, new cast iron rings, new bearings...good tractor now...lucky

Blow out or other such thing to stuff that has been in it. Then fill almost to the top with ATF nothing else and let sit a week. Then add a table spoon of gas to the ATF if you can do safely that is and light it. Let it burn till it goes out and do that a few times then once it gets things good and warm try to spin it over with the starter using short fast taps of the starter button. BTDT many many many times

Let us know how it turns out. If you end up needing
pistons I have three or four I took out of a Jubilee.
