I have a 2-16 that my 841 has problem with at times. 3 bottom on your tractor unless your in real good soil or sandy soil my work but a 2-16 is a better match

It depends upon your soil.

3X12 or even 3X14 in ideal conditions.

2X14 in some of my ground.

There probably weren't a lot of 3 bottoms sold with those tractors.
You hardly ever see them from that era.
If you were going to pull 3 you would need to have the it heavily ballasted - both front and rear - as the tractor is fairly light.
2-16s is probably a better match in most soils.

It would have been a 101 series plow. Most everything the dealer sold around here in central Missouri had 3 14s. The even made a semi mounted 4 14 plow for them. I am looking hard for one of those plows to add to our collection.

I live in central Kansas an 881 was "my tractor" growing up pulled a 3-16 many hours. What you need to remember people didn't plow as deep then dad used to use a Prince Albert can as a gauge 5" Fords promo pictures showed 4-14 behind 800 series.

Depends on your soil conditions. In se Ga 3-16s were the norm. One neighbor pulled 3-14s with his 650. We all had sandy loamy soil.
