Looking at buying a 641 that has an unbelievably straight body, new tires, excellent hydraulics. The problem is it smokes. The owner stated that according to his compression check, the rings were ok, but the tractor needed a valve job..
The price is right even with the smoking, but I was just wondering about how much it would run me to have a good valve job done on it.
Also, I have fairly good mechanical skills, so is this something I should tackle (with the exception of the machining), or should I just let the shop take care of everything? Thanks for your input.
