650 Lubrication

I have the owner's manual on my computer but it's not much help in determining how much oil to put in the rear end or the transmission if I'm not draining and re-filling. How can I tell if there is enough oil in them without a dipstick?

Can I use Walmart's Universal Tractor Fluid in everything (hydraulics too)? I'm just trying to get it going without causing any damage - I'll change out everything after I'm sure it's working OK.

Thanks.

Both of those cases have level holes. IIRC the axle is to lower left of PTO shaft, and tranny is on right. It is down about three inches from the bottom. I am 1,400 miles from my tractors at the moment. Before operating or adding drain some off the bottom first, in order to drain off any water fromcondensation that may be there. Then before draining run it around some in a manner that will stir up sludge on the bottom.

showcrop is correct.

trans level plug on right side near running board. it's a plug, not a bolt.. don't be pulling any bolts outta the trans.

diffy plug back lower left near pto as said.

hyds are a dipstick.

wal-trans utf is fine for all 3 sumps.
