Friend has this tractor 200 miles away. Light switch appears rusted stiff. Looking for replacement and info shows it's pull type for the 3 & 4 cyl. models but rotary for larger models. We didn't try rotating switch, so don't know if it will even turn or not. Does any one have a 9600 with lights and can confirm style of switch you have? TIA.

Your light switch should be a pull type.I Know its a pull style for the 9700 and if I remember correctly from my days working in an old Ford dealership, your 9600 should be the same pull type switch as in a 9700.

The joke behind the counter tried to sell me one of those rotary switches.

Well, he looked up the switch, and said have to order one, and when it came he had some big old rotary pot metal thing, I said what do I do with this?

Fortunately I had brought the old one along the second time, and the other parts guy looked over, walked back, got the push-pull switch I needed from the shelf, and we shipped that rotary one back.

Don't know what book he was looking in to pull up that big pot metal rotary deal.

They have changed them, two fuses now, not one big one.
