I have a 861 powermaster and the pto will disengage while in use. The pto shaft slides in and out about an inch. What all do I need to replace

Remove the PTO shaft and put the snap ring back in place. Replace if necessary.

This would be a good time to replace the PTO seal as well.

If it had an inch of thrust play, you pulled it, and the snap ring aft of the bearing was in place, then the wear ring is an inch out on the shaft,
reseat it or replace it.' Seal too then the gasket

That is exactly what it was. Gonna get new ring tomorrow and a gasket. Thanks for the help!!!

Had to be one or the other, as they hold the bearing.

More than usual, the snap rings pop out when the shaft gets tugged on or pushed on.

I have seen the wear ring slipped forward though.

If it slides on looser than it should, add a ring of loctite to the shaft, then drive it on
