NAA won,t start

My NAA was working good last week. Went to start it
couple days ago and it won't start, it won't even turn over.
Checked all the connections and all are good.Charged the battery up
and try to start it but it only makes a clicking noise once and the
battery goes bad like, something is shorting the battery.
What could be the problem?
.

1 click and the battery dies?

Um.. the battery is bad... either woefully discharged or damaged.
If something was shorting a good battery , you would know it quickly from the smoke and burning smell, and eventually heat, flames and melting parts..

soundguy i'll try a different battery tomorrow and see what happens
I slow charge this battery overnight twice and it was showing that the battery was charged up

Sounds like a corroded connection. Check those battery cables. Like sound says, a real shorted battery would go up in smoke. Probably using wrong terminology

Checked how?
Voltage or load?
Voltage means nothing.
If one click kills it... The battery is dead...

Pull that battery out charge it up and then take it to an auto parts tore and have it load tested. Also when you install a different battery watch for a spark when you hook it up could have a dead short some place

Voltage can be 12.3 volts and yet not have a good charge or good battery. BTDT to many times. Even had brand new batteries not be worth the time or trouble to install. Only real test is a load test

I know that you don't want to hear this but, yes, check the connections again. two years ago I had a slow crank condition on my 971D. I finally noticed heat at the chassis ground connection. I took it off AGAIN, and finally noticed that the surface was dull gray instead of shiny. So I took out my pocket knife and made it shiny, and cranking speed picked up a lot.

You can buy a 12v battery the size of your finger, it measures 12v.. But it wont start your car!

Put meter on battery and try to start, if it drops more than about 1.8v on 6v, its not charged or bad
