Ford 960 power steering filter

I need to clean or replace the filter in the power steering reservoir of my 1956 Ford 960 but I'm not sure how to remove it. There seems to be a spring under the fastening bolt so the filter is not solidly attached in the reservoir. Does anyone have any information on how to do this? A diagram would be helpful. There is nothing in the user manual.

Push down on the spring/rod and twist.

New filters are available at CNH.

Should be NAPA Filter 1653 for the filter

You must have a better dealer than I do. Every time I try to get ford parts for 8n's-860's My CaseIh dealer tells me it's no longer available. Since they own about 12 dealerships. I can't get away from them.

Try a New Holland dealer.

An enormous number of parts are still available for vintage Ford tractors from CNH.
