Ford 5610 rear hydraulic remote problem

My Ford 5610 has two sets of rear hydraulic remotes. I am using one set to operate my front end loader. The remote has an operation lever that has to be moved from neutral position to operate. The lever will stay in position and the loader will operate great without a load, however when weight on front end loader and hyrdros get under a load the lever will kick out back to neutral position. If I hold lever back (in position), loader works fine. There feels like there is a detent to hold valve in postion. My question, how to repair, or keep lever in position while using front end loader ? Why will value not stay in position ? Thanks so much !

The remotes do have a detent and there should be an adjusting screw to increase the pressure on the spring to hold the lever in place under load.

The remote is doing what it's supposed to do when a load comes against it... kick out. That's not what you want with the loader tho... The options you have are to adjust the detent so it doesn't kick out or hook a bungee cord to the remote valve handle and tie it off somewhere so it doesn't kick out. If you want to adjust the detent, look towards the top of the valve body of that particular valve and you should see a slotted screw with a jamb nut. Loosen the jamb and turn the screw inwards a turn or so and reset the jamb. That should prevent the valve from kicking. The thing you MUST remember is that if you remove the loader and it's valve and you then have this remote available for other uses.... remember that it can't kick out.... and if it can't kick out it can get stuck on, inadvertently... and will cause the pumps to dump full flow across the reliefs until you do turn the valve off. It can make a LOT of heat and burn pumps out before you notice it... so proceed with caution.

x2 what Rod said. Myself, I prefer the bungee cord method because it's pretty much foolproof if you hook one end up to the male quick couplers. That way, you have to remove it once you take the loader off.

Mine did that too, I ended up piping in CCLS valve for loader and open up both remotes again.
