i have replace the rear main seal 3 times, each with the neoprene seal but cannot stop the dripping. Any suggestions? Maybe have to use original rope type????

Are you trying to replace the seal with the oilpan dropped, or have you pulled the engine to do this? Some guys seem to get lucky by
dropping the pan, but I did not. I ended up pulling the engine to get it sealed. I used the Victor Reinz sealant that comes with a long
applicator to seal the side grooves that originally had wedge seals. I used the neoprene two piece for the crank. I had no luck with the
standard wedge seals for the sides, nor had luck with the side seals that have a pin you drive into each seal after sliding in place.

Like Michford I put a two piece neoprene in with success with it on the stand. The side seals were miserable though, I pulled them back out and reinstalled them three times before I was happy with them, but they didn't leak. I recommend the Victor silicone with long applicator too.

If the crank is worn are the engine has enough blow by You may never stop the leak till you take care of ware issues...
