Eaton power steering pump question - Tony Jacobs?

Rebuilding an Eaton power steering pump I got from the local old car boneyard, to put on the 1960 641 I just brought in here (a loader tractor). Got the car pump apart, refreshed seals, putting back together. Putting the tractor pulley and reservoir on it. That is all easy.

Ran into a snag......I should have looked at this first. On the outlet fitting of the pump, it's a bolt-on block and like a banjo bolt that holds it on for the tractor. On the car pump housing, it has an inverted flare inside the threaded bore of the pump. This inverted flare prevents the banjo-like bolt used on the tractor adapter from threading down the whole way.

Question is this. Do any of y'all know if that inverted flare thingy is removable? I can't seem to get it to budge (but I have no leverage). Reason I wonder is because it looks like aluminum, whereas the housing itself is cast iron. Thinking maybe press-fit into the housing? I'd use the tractor housing back half, but it was full of rust and nastiness inside.

Tony - Got any insight on this?

I'll try to get pics after church tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch,
Kevin

Hello Kevin , Just stick an Easy-Out in it and it will come right out . The ferrule just has a light press fit . Thanks Tony

Tony,
I've got a problem unrelated to this post and it seems maybe you're the guy with the answer. The post is located at:

I'd appreciate it if you'd take a moment to look at it. Thanks.
