On it's way to a better home........

Well, it's gone... A gentleman from Michigan picked it up this morning. Will put it to work on his farm pulling wagons around and running some augers. He chose not to buy the pie weights or blade so I'll get them listed somewhere. Original 19-205 Ford blade with 6ft. and 8ft. scrapers. Might pretty 'em up some first with a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint. Will be looking for a new project after summer and have some free time on my hands. The search will be on!

(quoted from post at 23:37:07 04/04/15) What part of michigan? How much for weights and blade?
Somewhere around Port Huron. $650 for the blade and the same for the pie weights. Take 'em both and I'll knock $100 off of each of 'em.

Sorry to see it go Tom, you put a lot of work into that!
Did both the narrow and wide front ends go with it?
Beautiful tractor!

Yes, both front ends went with it. He got a good deal and I got a fair price. I'll bring another one back to life next fall. Never did a diesel. Thinking about tackling one of those.

As long as you're both happy with the deal that's all that matters!
Those look to be the heavy pie weights? I've heard they will
interfere with the adjustments if used on the power adjust rims.
Is that right? I have a heavy set, but never put them on PA rims.

hey are the heavies. I along with you have only heard about the interference on P/A rims. Never tried them. Perhaps someone with more experience with them will chime in.

If you want to come to Virginia, I'll have for sale in the next week or so a nice original 641 with a Ford loader, power steering, and HD front end. Running virgin machine that has never been restored.....still has (rough) original paint on it. Would be a good one to start restoring, as it's not hacked up.

There are at least two different types of heavy pie weights, maybe even three different ones. The heavy pie weights that almost fill a 28 inch
rim will not fit with power adjust rims. There is a heavy pie weight especially for the 24 inch rim, and those will fit a power adjust rim. I have a
heavy set on my 860 with power adjust rims. I had to make sure the pie weight mounting plate was radially oriented to the four rails of the
power adjust rims so that the notch in the back of the weight segments would clear the clamp bolts on the rims.

I need to get the power steering pump back on it and up and flying, but after that I'll get back to you. Goal is to get it advertised within the next two weeks.

Just ran it some more today, and I can't believe how easy it starts, even still on 6v. Crazy.

I'll get back to you.

Thanks,
Kevin

I don't think it's crazy. 6V systems work fine when maintained.
Here's my ugly old 9N starting cold on 6V: YouTube

Yeah, that's how this 641 starts, too! Guess I've been so used to worn out, no-compression junk that I don't know how it's "supposed" to work on 6V, LOL.

Here's a teaser until I can get more pics. Note that the pie weights are not going with the tractor. :) If you're not scared off by the pictures, shoot me an email. My email is open.
