I have a customer looking for a replacement carb for his 5000. Original part # C9NN9510D. Any reliable sources out there?
 
Most new replacements that you will find out there today are Zenith's, as Ford officially switched to Zenith as the replacement a long time ago. The Ford part number for the Zenith replacement is E5NN9510GA. The parts site has a informational bubble next to the C9NN9510D part number and when you point your mouse at it it says that it has been superseded by part number E5NN9510GA.
 
Sorry, typo... correct part number for Zenith replacement carb is E1NN9510GA. partspring at least recognizes that part number as a carb but says says no longer available. A quick Google search shows that they are out there though. Here's one listed on Alexander's Tractor Parts, and it says that part was added in December of 2014. so it should be current information:

That one may be the best option. I'ts odd that Alexander's is the ONLY retailer with a listing for a 5000. Even TEMCO, which has 11 different replacement carbs for Fords, (mostly Zenith) doesn't list a 5000 an an application. Kinda makes one wonder exactly what Alexander's is selling. Maybe we will find out.
