I already admitted to being pretty stupid about wiring, but I dug out the shop manual and looked at the diagrams - not sure I'm much smarter for the effort. Near as I can tell, things are hooked up right. I still don't know why the bulb won't light up. I replaced the single wire socket with the original, and again, I have juice from the ignition in the center of the socket and it'll light up my tester. I checked the yellow wire coming from the alt and it barely lit up the tester. I think the book said there should be 2 volts coming from the alt to the bulb? I may need to go back and look. This is all w/engine off, switch on. Any further thoughts? This enough info to go on?
