Injection pump help

can anyone tell me what injection pump I have here? also what is this adjustment for? its twards the back of the pump looks like a flat head screw with a nut on it the screw also has a hole in it with a wire wraped through it. it wont let me upload a picture but its around a 63 ford with a 4 cyl diesel and a simms pump[/img]

that screw is your smoke screw. it is said that turning it out (CCW) will give you more power.

A 4 cylinder diesel with a Simms pump from "around '63" sounds like a 5000, which wasn't actually made until '65. The 4 cylinder Ford diesel tractors made in '63 should have a Roosa Master pump.

Could be a Power Major or Super Major Vacuum Governed pump this is the later pump from 1962 to 1964.
