851 remotes

What do I need to add single or dual remotes to my 851? Currently has hitch only and would like to use on JD 7000 planter. Thanks, john

The easiest way is to install a Ford or aftermarket remote valve in place of the accessory plate beneath the seat on the lift cover.

Such valves are available in both single and dual spool designs.

TISCO still sells these valves but they are quite expensive.

Used units are not plentiful but can be found on ebay and tractor related ads from time to time.

In addition, if you don't need 3pt during this time, you can chain the lift down and run a hose from that motion cover.

The 3 pt handle andthatnhosemwill give youmsa hyds,. If you need da, get a cheap oc da valve and plumb it in, dump return to tank. Chain the upper lift arms to the trumpets

Them valves can be had for 80-90$ usually.

That's a quickie/cheap alternative if limited use.
