identify weight

I got a set of weights that I cannot identify. The number on them is E27N1076 and in script letters the word "ENFO".

The number looked somewhat like a numbering system Ford used.

(quoted from post at 07:57:12 03/30/15) Kirk,
What models are you talking about? I do not know the English fords as I have had no experince with them.

Dexta
Super Dexta
Major
Power Major

But from about 57-68ish in Dengenham, England.

This tractor belongs to a local puller.
He told me it is a Fordson E27N row crop.
They were also made in a standard utility model like the N.
Wheel weights look like the one posted.

That is an English E27N Fordson set up with an aftermarket front steering apparatus originally sold to fit a 1920's Fordson F. The actual row crop model of the vintage 1936-1940 Fordson N was quite different.
So far as I know the E27N was not offered with a narrow front, and it was not offered as a utility model, if by that you mean the standard Model N up until 1945. The front axle assembly and rear end, are virtually the same as the 1950's Fordson New Major. Just different style wheels in different countries. The narrow front used 38" rims, vs 30" for the normal wide front, or actually, 36" rims on the E27N. The old utility used 24" rims when equipped with rubber.
There was an after market narrow front sold for the mid 50's Major, but it was not successful due to structural weakness. The wheel weights for the E27N were used unchanged, except for lettering, through the run of Fordson Majors.

By the way, you need a "starter weight" next to the rim which is a lot different than the add-on weights.
