Hello, I split my 1200 because it appeared the clutch is shot. I bought it that way and do not know what the previous owner did to it. When I split the unit I discovered that the clutch is almost new, showing no wear. There is wear on the pressure plate fingers but the pilot brg seems tight.
Is it possible that the clutch plate was put in backwards? There is a flange on one side of the clutch, should that face the engine or the transmission?
The problem I had was I could push in the clutch pedal but the clutch would not disengage, there was normal resistance in the pedal.
Any ideas from anyone out there as to what the problem is?
Thanks.
