Gold demonstrator?

Bought this old 871D SOS as a parts tractor a while back.
Today I steamed it off a little and found this color all over. Gold
demonstrator or industrial yellow? I believe it is a 1957
according to the serial number.

Opinions helpful. I wasn't going to save this one but if it's
unique then maybe.

Here is my gold demo for comparison.
If you tractor had a loader on it may have been painted yellow. Check the production numbers on the trans and engine.

Yes that looks like a bracket for a 1 armed loader, and that definitely looks more like industrial yellow than demo gold to me, but I am slightly color blind, so take that with a grain of salt.

One Arm Loader still uses a front mount pump right? His front grille panel has no hole for the pto shaft. Could have been replaced though at some point.

He does have the aux hyd plate on the lift cover though, So I'm guessing that could have been used for the loader.

You are not the first to show interest in the bracket. What are they worth plus there is some shipping.

After these comments and pictures (thanks for
that) I don't think it is gold either Was
probably yellow at some point. I saw a yellow
golden Jubilee at the same sale so maybe this gent
was into yellow fords. (he had passed before the
sale)

'61 would be too late for it to be a gold demo. There is a serial number range that gold demos fall in. ..but I don't know the numbers.

Some one-arm loaders used a front pump, but most that I've
seen fed off the tractor's hydraulics. Looks like that's how this
one was set up.

Try to reread the serial # cause the SOS didn't come out until 1959 so it can't have a '57 number on it.

The 722 used a front pump and control valves on the
loader frame. It had the hydraulic controlled
bucket. The 711 hydraulic controlled bucket and trip
bucket used tractor hydraulics via a valve on the
top cover.

This one is serial number 132602. I now am quite sure it was yellow at some time so it is back to being a parts tractor.

Kirk,

Did you do that upright exhaust yourself?

I used to run a lot of pieced together piping (oxy/acet) out the side in front of the rear wheels of people's trucks to eliminate the need for a costly over-the-axle tailpipe. Now that I've seen your vertical setup I'm inspired to do that for my Jube rather than buying one.

No I didn't do it the previous owner did. Last time
I went to buy one of those S bends from the dealer
they wanted $50 for it. I was lucky enough that a
friend of mine had a couple of NOS ones laying in
his garage he wasn't going to use.
